The St. Mary’s BNS Autism Class Action Group* would like to ask you to attend a Zoom Public Meeting regarding Booterstown Parish’s proposal to the Department of Education to purchase the old Parish Hall on Grotto Avenue, Booterstown, which would provide St. Mary’s Boys National School with a school hall and an autism class.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday 13th July at 7 – 8.30 pm by Zoom.
The meeting is fully supported by the Principal (Mr. Noel Scully), Board of Management, Staff, Parents Association and parents of St. St Mary’s BNS, Booterstown Parish and constituents from the community.
The purpose of the meeting is to see how we can encourage The Department of Education to expedite their decision to purchase the Parish Hall and henceforth set about finding a way for the autism class to open in September 2021.
This is an urgent matter and we need your help now. Despite widespread acknowledgement of the need for autism classes at primary level in South County Dublin, there are still no autism classes in Booterstown or the surrounding areas of Blackrock, Mount Merrion, Kilmacud or Stillorgan.
Your attendance is key in convincing all the stakeholders that this is the right thing to do for our children and we would be extremely grateful if you would attend. For the parents and children who are desperate for the classroom to open, due course can not come quickly enough.
Your support on this matter would be greatly appreciated, please fill out the form below and we will email you the meeting link closer to the date.
